Town Manager Bill Sequino’s expectation is that next year’s budget increase by no more than 2.67 percent, he wrote in a recent memo to the town council and school committee. The town expects to see a $625,000 drop in revenue from this fiscal year to the next, Sequino says, due to a decline in licenses and fees in the town clerk, public works and police departments. Second, the town expects that state aid to towns will not increase and may in fact decrease. |
